Island Girls: Maureen Gold's Atlantic City Boys event and Denise/Pam pre-performance cocktail party--Feb 1, 2018

On Thursday, February 1, 2018, the evening began at Pam's house for a cocktail party thrown by Denise and Pam (with Denise and her sister, Marlene, doing most of the work) and ended with MaureenG's fabulous show at the JCMI. Attending the cocktail party were 9 IG's (Denise, Pam, Sandy, Cindy, Geri, Fran, Ellen, Sharon, Patricia) and 3 guests (Marlene, Sally (Cindy's mom), and Laura Vesecky (new to the island)). Prosecco with raspberries was the liquid refreshment of the evening with a plethora of wonderful hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, veggies and fruit, and treats (Madeleines (YUM!) and M&M's)...most of which fed Denise/Pam for days. :-) It was lovely to just sit around and catch up for a while and enjoy each other's company (and, of course, enjoy an adult beverage). We should do that more often!

To make certain everyone got a parking place, those going to the concert left left at 7 (and poor Denise stayed to clean up) meeting up with MaureenG and troop (her husband, Charlie, was under the weather and could not attend) and Patrica's husband Eddie (who had to miss the cocktail party as he was chauffeuring his daughter to the airport). The Atlantic City Boys (which is actually a group of 8 performers who do shows as groups of 4) have performed in Las Vegas, Disney World, and Atlantic City and on numerous cruise lines. They perform music of the Beach Boys, Drifters, BeeGees, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons and have opened/performed with many of the greats. We are lucky to have such quality entertainment on our small island! The music was fabulous...there was a little extra excitement when EMS had to be called for another audience member...but a great time was had by all.
